My paternal 2nd-great-grandfather Henry Logan (1837 – ~1920) was born into slavery in Mississippi. Paris Boyd Pegues was the youngest child (of nine) of Isaiah Pegues and Fannie (Ivy) Pegues in Lafayette County, Mississippi, United States.
